Gaming Laptops 17 Inch Screen, Vr Headset For Mac

28.12.2019

EDIT: I just updated to nvidia's latest gpu drivers without issue last night to play battlefield 1. TRUTHFUL REVIEW: Do NOT listen to the negative reviews on here. They are people with little knowledge on the PC world let alone the gamer PC world. This laptop is top notch for a the price to performance comparison. You are getting a $,1049 laptop with the kaby lake i7, gtx1060, 16gb ram that is easy to upgrade, a 256 SSD, IPS screen.

Is this entry level yes? Should you expect small details that aren't on this model to drop the price? But the things that were dropped from the G9-593-72VT are not performance changing items. This rig easily handles new games from high to ultra settings killing it in FPS. I play Arma 3 which is extremely CPU intensive and horribly optimized.

With some graphics tweaks I was still pushing 50 fps on high. This is a very powerful laptop. This being the 2018 version, they include the hard drive tray and screws which usually weren't included in recent versions. Upgraded it with a second 500gb 2.5' Sata SSD.

Headset

Owned an asus Rog Strix gl703vm before this one, but it had a sudden voltage problem and died; had to return it. Pros: Thanks to Helios 300's Overclockable GPU, it can pull higher frame rates than the Rog Strix.Cooling is very good, it didn't exceed 80c under load and max fans.Silent (more silent than rog strix) -144hz refresh rate is great and this version has a much better screen than the previous gen. Screen tearing didn't occur so far.8th gen i7 8750h does not bottleneck gpu as much as 7700hq Some cons: -No display port: won't project over 60fps on external monitor. No independent buttons to increase/decrease volume and access to PredatorSense.had bunch of junkware installed but easily removable.200gb available to go. So far, my step son loves this. I got it for him for Birthday/Christmas and he has nothing but good things to say. This is almost as powerful as mine, as I have a gt72 dominator with the 6820hk and a 970m with an NVME ssd. His keeps up with everything except for when multiple things are going on.

It's to be expected, the 6820hk is a beast, and mine is overclocked to 4ghz on all 4 cores along with 32gbs of ram. His keeps right up though. For a cheap gamer, this fits the bill. Won't max everything out, but gives you a very playable experience. Update: So I wasn't happy that my laptop died on me in under 3 months (with less than 1 month's light usage).

Also, after logging onto HP's support page only for their own software to crash and not work, I honestly thought that I would never buy from HP again. I vented my disappointment on the contact page for the CEO of HP the very afternoon that my laptop stopped working.

And received a phone call the very next day. HP profusely apologized for this issue and recognized that the frustration I had gone through with their support service. I won't go into all the details but they actually offered me 'options' for making this right. This is what I was most impressed with, they wanted to give a solution that I could work with, not the other way around. I am using it to write this review. Well, I will not say it has the best specs if you compare to other gaming laptops. I just want a graphics card to run little editing stuff and light gaming.

1050 2GB for heavy gaming? You can dream about it. The speaker amazed me! It is almost the same as using headphone when I listen to my favorite music, but you have to be right in front at the computer.

Overall, the performance is good; the CPU is the lastest and fast. The keyboard is quite good and comfortable. I don't really like the red line design but I rather it is plain steel.

The battery can let you use about 4.5 hours if you just internet and youtube. The wifi works perfectly like the advertising. It works well even though I am a little far away from the router and have a wall in between.

Computer is thin, light, and beautiful. Super fast and gaming is a breeze.

I consider myself a light gamer, playing simulation/ world building/management games like Cities Skylines, Tropico 5, Sims 4/3, Project Highrise & this computer takes everything you throw at it. My husband also steals it for PUBG and says it runs exceptionally well (he really likes the 144 hz refresh rate).

(It can get hot when playing, but I keep it on a desk at all times on top of this cooling pad and it really helps to keep it cool: ) This is a huge upgrade from my cruddy Macbook pro 13' that i bought just last year. Goodbye apple! So first of all, Eluktronics provides a 16GB USB for writing.any. review. This has been said in other reviews, but it's for full disclosure even in this review.

So, I'm gonna try to follow a categorical based review with a summary and brief pros/cons at the end. Design/Build Quality: 9/10 I'd say that this is one of the more attractive gaming laptops out there simply because it lacks the 'Gamer' aesthetic. The discrete tone is greatly appreciated in professional settings, and I can use it in public without feeling out of place. The outside of the laptop feels to be aluminum, which unfortunately leads to a negative aspect of the design.

This thing is a fingerprint magnet. Within seconds of touching it you will get fingerprints on the top, but that can be taken care of for the most part and isn't terribly noticeable from afar. Overall though, the laptop feels sturdy. Bought this as a back up for my desk top, to create CAD drawings away from home and the most important thing, to run my Oculus Rift Touch I just bought. The specs are great for what I needed. It booted right up, easy set up, took the programs I needed to use.

I believe the red keyboard is too bright but can live with it. The only downfall is Windows 10. Wish we had another choice. Started to do some updates and it took 3 days to get them loaded.

Not Acers fault but need more options. Great buy for the money! Powerful laptop, great screeen, comfortable keyboard. The only issue and why I returned it was because HP's keyboard lacks N-Key rollover support, basically for a gaming laptop where you play FPS, where you need to crouch-walkforward-reload, you will not be able to do this, because the motherboard only recognizes the first two keypresses, putting you at a serious disadvantage against even people who spent $500 on their gaming PC, but have a decent keyboard. This is not CUKs fault, they are an excellent company with a huge selection of PC hardware and computers, it was just a major oversight on HP's part. If you still want this laptop for everything else that it delivers, and want to game, you need to purchase an additional keyboard to get around the lack of N-Key rollover support.

For the price, you won't find get as much bang for your buck ANYWHERE else,. First of all, if you want a slim laptop, this is not for you. It's scarcely portable. OTOH, if like me, you put this on a lapdesk and started gaming, and that's what you bought it for, then this is perfect for you.

Especially in the 1TB HD upgraded version. The standard version coming with only a 256 HD is a drawback. The graphics are solid.

The keyboard and touchpad are sturdy and functional. But the real reason this computer rocks is the predator sense coolboost. Turn that on, and you can try to overheat this beast, and you won't do it. 60fps forever. If everything else was bang average, that would make this a good buy.

But the rest of the package is above average, at worst. So this is easily the best laptop I've ever bought. After hours of research and even one returned MSI, I ended up with an Acer Predator 17 i7-7700HQ GTX1070 8GB. This thing is massive power in a massive body. It's honestly probably too powerful since the display is only 1080p and 75hz so you might want to consider just going with the GTX 1060 version.

Pros: Runs anything on ultra, stays super cool, great build quality, doesn't look as bad in person. Cons: over 10 pounds with the power supply, you'll need a special bag to carry it, definitely has that gamer look to it. This thing is a performance machine.

With a GTX 1070 it can take all you throw at it. However, the 75hz 1080p display will leave you wanting more. Wish it at least came with a 1440p display and 120hz.
